It has been the advent of safer fake tanning methods that has allowed people to enjoy that tanned look all year round. Although evidence compiled over the last few years has shown conclusively just how dangerous it is to lay out in the sun, new methods are being used to give the same effect. Many people are now turning to artificial methods as they are generally much safer, especially the popular spray tanning system. Although bronzing agents have been around for many years, they tend to leave streak marks unless professionally applied.
Just to provide an even more convenient service, manufacturers have introduced spray tanning equipment that can be used in the home. Regardless of the method you choose there are a few basic steps to follow to ensure that you get the best results possible. To ensure a good clean body surface to work with, you will need to remove any dead skin by exfoliation. This can stop the situation where dead skin cells gradually drop off leaving paler patches of skin which immediately tells people you have a fake tan.
Once that stage has been carried out it is best to apply a moisturizer to your whole body. One of the biggest mistakes people make at this stage when applying a bronzer from a bottle or cream application is to forget to wear gloves, this leaves them with orange palms which is hard to disguise. All your joints i.e. knuckles, elbows, knees and ankles will need to be given a lighter coat as these areas will appear much darker and everyone will know what you have been doing! Where a spray tanning system has been used it is quite normal, once it has been applied, to use some sort of towel to wipe any excess so streaking does not occur.
Don’t wiggle around a lot after applying the self tanning agent, remaining as motionless as possible will help to ensure an even tan. Agents of all types will leave stains on your clothing almost as soon as you put them on so consider what you intend to wear once you have finished. You should choose something dark and also maybe something you don’t particularly care for until the excess is worn off. If you remember these few rules you should find that alternative systems can be very effective and look just like the real thing.

People searching for ways to have younger looking faces will probably arrange a course of Botox injections; for such a recognized treatment it is surprising how many people haven’t a clue how it works. To help with this, we need to step back a few decades to when this substance was first researched and used. The first research into Botulinum toxin was carried out over five decades ago; researchers were looking into methods to treat neurological problems in people.
It wasn’t until around 1989 that the Federal Drug Administration agreed to allow its use in medical procedures to help people with disorders of the eye; some of these included patients with excessive, involuntary blinking and for those suffering with crossed eyes plus, on occasion, wrinkles. In the year 2000 it was approved to treat cervical dystonia; this is where severe neck and shoulder contractions were causing discomfort to a number of people, but other eye conditions were included in this approval. Scientists found that if the botox drug was injected into the lines between the eyebrows it would gradually soften them and make them disappear; this discovery won over the FDA who agreed that it could be used in cosmetic procedures from 2002.
When Botox is injected into the muscles of the forehead, it blocks nerve impulses which results in the weakening of the muscles that cause frowning; in time frown lines gradually soften and subside if sufficient treatments are given. In many cases the lines eventually disappear completely but it can also be injected into the muscles of the face that cause crows feet, forehead lines and frown lines. The injections actually contain a purified form of the Botulinum toxin; because of the purification process it can be used in cosmetic surgery.
Of course we all like to laugh and obviously use our faces for other gestures but the muscles controlling this are the cause of the line we see and obviously, these injections can stop this. This treatment is able to take back, for a temporary period, all those years of lines, creases and wrinkles that has formed from the use of our facial muscles; many ?skin age reduction cream’ manufacturers have tried to produce creams that reduce facial line but this is the only treatment that works, currently. After being injected into the effected area, botox temporarily paralyzes these muscles so that you can’t make these expressions; these treatments provide the user with a facial surface that is smooth and often referred to as looking like a dummy or mannequin.
Because frown line, wrinkles and facial creases have all but disappeared, it provides the user with a look of someone much younger. For some people the obvious downside to this treatment is the cost; with injections in the low to very high hundreds of dollars each, it looks to remain expensive for some time to come. It may be a few years yet before we see the result of long term use of botox but that doesn’t seem to concern those people who are using it at this moment.

The usually unsightly condition known as cellulite is suffered by woman around the world and is universally hated; most areas of the body can experience its effects but sufferers mainly have it below the abdomen. Most women carry excess fat in thighs and buttocks, but this problem is not confined just to the overweight; the lumpy substance that looks more like cottage cheese beneath the skin can affect slim, even sporting women as well.
A number of fats collect in the lower areas of skin and push against the connecting tissues forcing the skin to pucker or have a dimpled look which is called cellulite. In reality, nobody knows the real reason why some people accumulate these fats and not others, but there are some factors that health experts are considering such as the structure of the fat cells or toxins that enter the body.
Two components of the skin that decrease with age are elastin and collagen, both of which may be responsible for the increase of these fatty cells as women grow older. It is classified as a hormonal imbalance experienced by women and seldom appears on males as normally fat stored in the thighs and buttock is the same as fat stored all over the body so no difference is observed.
The presence of cellulite is not always prominent, unless one tries to pinch the upper skin of one’s thigh; should it feel lumpy then you most certainly have it but a woman should not feel bad about having it, since most have this condition to a certain degree. After a great deal of research, certain conditions do help with the formation and retention of the fat cells; the age of the person, their gender, how thick their skin is and the amount of extra fat they carry, all play a part.
Currently there isn’t one single treatment that can rid a person of this condition because the cause has remained elusive despite considerable research into the area. Massage has been found to help hide the indications of cellulite even though it cannot remove it; but is does reduce it’s visibility for a temporary period and is available from some beauty clinics.
Other treatments involve liposuction (to remove fats) and mesotherapy (injection of drugs into the affected areas) which is expensive and out of reach of the majority of women. These known remedies offer only temporary relief and are likewise not advisable as liposuction for example should only be used to remove deep fats and is not very effective in the removal of cellulite.
Whilst the creams that claim to burn the fat deposits away may not be very successful, the latest generation is designed to hide the condition although once again this is a short term answer. The most successful regimes so far are to adopt regular exercise, a good nutritious low-fat diet plan and reduce extra weight where possible.
Many of the toxins that aid cellulite formation in the cells can be removed by drinking plenty of water every day not to mention the other health benefits of drinking water which include weight reduction.

There is no reason why you can’t have skin to be proud of without spending a small fortune; a regular skin care maintenance routine is part of the secret but there is more than just this to learn. Whilst plastic surgery, liposuction and other invasive techniques have been incredibly popular in the past, mainly because they provide near instant results, that is no longer the case with modern beauty care. The best thing about modern beauty care products other than their cost is the fact they are generally natural so cannot harm the person who is using them.
The problem has always been our image of beauty care products like cold cream and the anti-aging formulations. Today’s products are able to do much more after the research that has been carried out and are an important addition to your personal care regime. We often forget that our skin is an organ that needs looking after as it has a difficult job to and needs regular help.
The first and most important step in any skin care regimen is to cleanse your face to remove any makeup, dust and bacteria that it has encountered throughout the day. Gently massage your cleanser into your skin in circular motions using your fingertips and then rinse off with warm water but only pat your skin with a soft towel to dry it.
Cleansers are very good at removing the contaminants from your face but they are prone to affect the PH of your skin so you will need to use a toner to restore the PH level one again. Lotions and moisturizers massaged into the skin help to reduce the effect of wrinkles and ensure the skin is more supple. This beauty care product step helps to seal in your treatment and to lock in the natural moisture in your skin.
Every week, at least once but preferably twice, it is recommended you get rid of dead skin cells by exfoliation or a natural peel, which is becoming a more popular skin care routine. On days when you are treating your skin you should cleanse, treat and then tone to make sure that you remove all traces of the exfoliant or peel that you are using.
Skin around the eye is very delicate and needs to be looked after so special beauty care product creams help alleviate the dark rings and puffiness that some people suffer ensuring the sin is much more supple and youthful looking. An underestimated but an essential commodity is water which can flush out toxins and which helps to hydrate the skin. We often forget how much we rely on but take our skin for granted but if it becomes damaged it can lead to all sorts of problems.

Do you land up with a reddish scar every time you get a pimple over your face? You may be your own enemy. Follow the simple tips and there will be less chance of scarring.
Acne is a end product of hormonal disbalance that causes your oil glands to start producing excess sebum. This in turn creates an infected sac in your pores causing a blemish. Here is what you can do-
Never squeeze a pimple, as this will create a mark that will stay longer.
Avoid detergent based soap. It irritates the lesion and darkens it further. Note that anything that dries your skin, darkens the mark. Switch to a oil-free face wash from a reputed company. That will keep your skin well nourished.
Do not forget to take an appointment from your dermatologist. Doctor may prescribe a medicated cream containing Hydroquinone, Tretinoin or Glycolic acid that will help control your marks.

You may consider acne spots over your cheeks are ruining lifestyle. You feel shy to go to a party or socialize in any formal or family gathering. That is not true. A few spots do not alter your profile much. It is a matter of confidence. You will know from experience that if you find somebody attractive, then a few spots do not matter. If people are mean and rude and call your names because of your spots, you have to try to brush it off or ignore it. Sometimes it all gets too much and you feel miserable or depressed: you should then talk to your loved ones or may consult a dermatologist.
However, before going to the doctor, you may try the following tips:-
Mix rice flour with curd and apply over the area with marks. Do not apply on the pimples directly. Rub gently with circular movements. Let it dry and then wash off with water.
If the skin is pitted (having tiny holes), you will need to take clinical vegetable peel treatments.
